Introduction:
Ce:YSO is a scintillator which has high light output and fast decay time, excellent radio resistance, high detection efficiency again γ ray, non-hygroscopic, stable etc. Compared with Ce:LYSO scintillator,
it shares the same emission peak 420 nm as Ce:LYSO, but it is less efficient in terms of light output, which is around 10,000 Photons/Mev, and considering the low density and Z value, the overall
performance of Ce:YSO is inferior than Ce:LYSO.
